Judge Atsuyuki Taniike

Judge Atsuyuki Taniike is an Assistant Judge from the Tokyo District Court, Japan.  He is visiting the Law School as part of the Supreme Court of Japan's Overseas Training and Research Program. During his stay, Judge Taniike will undertake research into Australia’s contract laws, focussing on the differences between the Australian and Japanese systems, and the thoughts and backgrounds behind those systems.  He will also undertake research into the civil procedure and civil jury system in Australia.

Dr Radacic is the recipient of an Endeavour Postdoctoral Award. During her visit to the Law School she will be undertaking research into how the Croatian judiciary conceptualises female sexuality, including women's sexual agency and women's human rights and the links between these concepts. While in Melbourne she will be examining Australian laws and cases in these areas with a view to develop reform proposals in Croatia.

Mrs Karin Clark

Mrs Clark is currently collaborating with Professor Megan Richardson on research into Privacy Law. They are investigating the privacy policies of internet search engines, social media providers and the regulation of online and offline tracking and surveillance. Of particular interest to Mrs Clark are the divergent North American and European approaches to many aspects of these issure, particularly at a time when a variety of options for Australian reform are under consideration.
